Who We Are

Federation of ForMedEx Associates

The Federation of ForMedEx Associates (FFA) is a registered society under the Societies Act, 1860 (S. No. 47 of 2025), established to unite and empower professionals in Forensic Medicine, Forensic Toxicology, Medicolegal Practice, and Medical Jurisprudence across India.

Based in Puducherry, FFA operates as the governing body of the ForMedEx platform — a dynamic digital network connecting faculty, consultants, senior residents, and postgraduate trainees in the field.

Scope of Activity

Objects of the Society

The objects for which the Federation of ForMedEx Associates is established are as follows:

  1. To Promote Forensic Medicine & Toxicology
    To advance the science and practice of forensic medicine and toxicology through education, research, and training, and to raise awareness about the role these fields play in the legal system.
  2. To Provide Expert Consultation & Testimony
    To offer expert forensic analysis, opinions, and testimony in legal proceedings, including court cases, investigations, and inquiries related to forensic medicine and toxicology.
  3. To Foster Collaboration Among Experts
    To create a network of professionals, including forensic pathologists, toxicologists, and other relevant experts, to facilitate collaboration in solving forensic cases and advancing the science.
  4. To Conduct Research
    To support and conduct scientific research in the field of forensic medicine and toxicology, publishing findings and sharing knowledge to improve medical, legal, and investigative processes.
  5. To Offer Educational Programs
    To organize training programs, workshops, seminars, and conferences related to forensic medicine and toxicology, aimed at educating both professionals and the public.
  6. To Develop Standards & Guidelines
    To develop, promote, and maintain professional standards, best practices, and ethical guidelines for the practice of forensic medicine and toxicology.
  7. To Provide Public Awareness and Advocacy
    To engage in public awareness campaigns regarding the importance of forensic sciences in criminal justice, public health, and safety.
  8. To Collaborate with Law Enforcement Agencies
    To work closely with law enforcement and legal authorities in forensic investigations, including the provision of forensic evidence, autopsy reports, and toxicology testing.
  9. To Provide Advocacy and Policy Support
    To advocate for the recognition and integration of forensic sciences in legal and healthcare systems, and to influence policy development at local, national, and international levels.
  10. To Establish and Maintain an Information Hub
    To create and manage a database of forensic medicine and toxicology resources, publications, case studies, and research findings.
  11. To Engage in International Cooperation
    To foster cooperation with international forensic organizations and bodies, and to promote participation in international conferences and collaborative forensic investigations.
  12. To Support the Development of Forensic Infrastructure
    To advocate for the improvement and development of forensic laboratories, toxicology testing facilities, and other infrastructure.
  13. To Engage in Any Other Activities That Support Forensic Medicine & Toxicology
    To carry out any lawful activities, as may be deemed necessary or beneficial to the fulfillment of the above objectives.
